Last year we averaged a population here at the Iowa
Eskie Spa and Resort of 17 Eskies per day for the whole year. What does
that mean in basic necessities?
12,410 Bowls of food
204 Frontline applications
204 Heartgard treatments
1825 gallons of filtered water
And that is only the basics~!
Because of your support many more survived in
2005
More precious lives we can fix in 2006
By making a tax deductible
donation
Thank you in advance for your much needed help,
The folks at American Eskimo Dog Rescue and Sanctuary of Iowa.

The EskiePeople List
This list is Freeform for Eskies and their people. Its ok here to chat about the weather, recent news, tell jokes, post pictures (up to 60kb) or anything else. Meet new friends that share the same love for the breed. We have set this up in our own domain server so there is no advertisements, pop-ups/behinds or spy camera solicitations. We would also like to encourage the folks that adopt an Eskie from us and our volunteers to join. The only rule for this list is to treat each other with the respect and tolerance that our Eskies have for us. To sign up follow this link-> Eskiepeople

Picture of the Week |
Kristy Morse sent in this week's "Picture of the Week"
Hi All!
Just had a couple of pictures to share of Ginger at
the dog park with the boys last week.
She's doing great but a little over weight (tipping the scales at almost
90 lbs). She's on thyroid
meds twice a day so at least she's not gaining, but holding steady.
Enjoy the pictures!
Kristy Morse
The bottom picture is Ginger with Sangha (outside of kennel) checking her out in the shelter area at the American Eskimo Rescue and Sanctuary of Iowa.

Meet Jazmyn and Tucker. We have had quite a few folks ask why we have a Collie, when we are an American Eskimo Rescue. We Bought Jazmyn as a puppy from a top breeder and trained her to help me train and keep an eye on all the rescue Eskies. She has been able to keep up with 25 of them at a time. And even inside, Jazmyn will keep an eye on things in the house. She has no problem taking things away if they are not a toy. In these two videos, Tucker is helping Jazmyn showcase one of her abilities. (roundin' up them Peskies) Jazmyn has become an integral and irreplaceable part of the American Eskimo Rescue and Sanctuary of Iowa.

This is 10 year old Jahmbi Woof, one of our senior sanctuary residents. He is getting his teeth brushed. He prefers a battery powered spin brush were he doesn't have to worry about swift and vigorous arm movements that might make him nervous and uncomfortable. Although Jahmbi Woof has had his teeth professionally cleaned by Kindness Pet Clinic, He and all the other residents still need to keep their teeth maintained on a regular basis

This clip is of Bailey, he is discovering the "Spa" part of the Iowa Eskie
Spa and Resort. Bailey will be meeting a potential new human family
tomorrow. He is planning on dazzling them, he wants to look and smell his best.

The first video is Princess and Sangha wrestling and the next is both of them in American Eskimo Rescue and Sanctuary of Iowa's "Little Enchanted Forest", about a ½ acre area that we have made (not completely finished) for the Eskies to play amongst themselves and dream in a human-free setting. Although we are never far away <wink>
